Job Summary:

We are seeking a Junior Accountant-Insurance to join our growing team. As a Junior Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks related to our insurance operations. This is an entry-level position that offers the opportunity for growth and development within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for our insurance operations
• Prepare and process insurance premiums, claims, and other financial transactions
• Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner
• Assist with the preparation of budgets and forecasts for insurance operations
• Monitor and analyze insurance expenses and report on any variances
• Participate in the annual audit process and provide support for audit requests
• Stay up-to-date with industry regulations and accounting standards related to insurance operations
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
• Handle any ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in the insurance industry
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and regulations related to insurance operations
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
