Job Summary
As the Transportation Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the transportation operations of IIQAF. This will include managing a team of drivers, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods and personnel, and maintaining the safety and compliance of all transportation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and supervise a team of drivers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure the highest level of performance.
• Plan and coordinate transportation routes to meet the needs of IIQAF, taking into account efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
• Monitor and maintain the safety standards of all transportation activities, including vehicle maintenance and driver qualifications.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely delivery of goods and personnel for events, conferences, and other activities.
• Develop and implement procedures to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of transportation operations.
• Oversee the procurement and maintenance of vehicles, ensuring they are in compliance with all regulations and requirements.
• Create and manage budgets for transportation expenses and make recommendations for cost-saving measures.
• Monitor and analyze transportation data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for optimization.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the transportation team and across departments.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in transportation operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team and handle conflicts.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and transportation management software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
