Job Summary

IIQAF looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to join our team. Our Purchase Officer will be responsible for identifying and sourcing merchandise and services, as well as managing the procurement process and maintaining key relationships with vendors.

The ideal candidate for this position is a motivated and confident individual who can work collaboratively with team members and has excellent communication and negotiation skills. They should be highly organized and able to work independently under tight timelines.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and source products and services from outside vendors.

• Analyze pricing and market conditions to ensure that suppliers are providing materials at competitive prices.

• Create and issue purchase orders and contracts for materials, supplies, and services.

• Follow up with vendors to confirm delivery dates and monitor progress of pending orders.

• Liaise between vendors and internal departments to ensure timely delivery and complete orders.

• Handle vendor disputes and invoice discrepancies.

• Negotiate with suppliers and third-party vendors to secure orders on the best terms.

• Develop relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality products and services.

• Prepare and maintain records of all purchases and pricing information.

• Update purchase order system to ensure all purchases and documents are up to date.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in procurement and/or sourcing.

• Thorough understanding of supply chain management principles.

• Previous experience in a purchasing or procurement role.

• Demonstrated negotiation and problem solving skills.

• Analytical and detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with suppliers.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other related software.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
