Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for interior design projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant expenses.
  • Work closely with the project team to establish realistic budgets that align with client expectations.
  • Conduct regular cost reviews and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in the procurement process by preparing tender documents and specifications.
  • Evaluate bids from contractors and suppliers, analyzing costs and benefits.
  • Make recommendations to the client regarding contractor and supplier selection.
  • Prepare and administer contracts between the organization and contractors.
  • Ensure contract terms are fair, reasonable, and in compliance with industry standards.
  • Manage variations, claims, and contractual disputes that may arise during projects.
  • Monitor project progress and track costs against the budget.
  • Monitor project costs, identify cost overruns or savings opportunities and implement cost control measures.
  • Collaborate with the project team to suggest value engineering techniques that achieve desired quality at reduced costs.
  • Provide cost advice during project feasibility studies and decision-making processes.
  • Measure and value work completed by contractors at different project stages.
  • Ensure contractor invoices align with actual work performed, following standardized measurement practices.
  • Assess progress payments, variations, and final accounts accurately.
  • Identify and assess potential risks that may impact project costs and schedules.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies, including contingency plans and insurance coverage.
  • Provide cost advice on project feasibility studies and risk analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the interior design or construction industry.
  • Available in UAE to attend direct interview​
  • Strong knowledge of cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and cost control techniques.
  • Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for quantity surveying and cost management.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills to interact with stakeholders at various levels.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a project team.
  • Familiarity with local building regulations, codes, and industry standards.
  • Professional certifications or memberships in relevant organizations are preferred
